Across www.ecocycleit.uk we aim to use cookies and similar storage only where proportionate. This section explains what you may see in your browser.

Strictly necessary cookies

We set a first-party cookie named ecocycleit_cookie_consent when you accept the cookie notice. It remembers that you have seen the message (value essential_v1) so we do not show the banner on every page view. It is not used for advertising. We also mirror the same choice in browser local storage where cookies are restricted, so the notice stays dismissed consistently.

Browser storage (local storage)

The DWT readiness survey at /survey/ may store draft answers in local storage in your browser so you can continue before submitting. A small script can clear that storage after you book a demo, use mailto from results, or copy results, so the survey can restart cleanly. This storage is not shared with other sites.

Hosting, security, and forms

Our hosting provider or application firewall may set short-lived, strictly technical cookies (for example for security, load balancing, or bot protection). The demo request and survey endpoints may use server-side sessions or similar mechanisms as required for those features. Details depend on your hosting configuration.

Analytics and advertising

We do not use third-party advertising cookies on this site at present, and we do not load mainstream analytics trackers in the static bundle. If we introduce optional analytics or similar technologies in future, we will update this notice and obtain consent where UK PECR / GDPR require it.

Your choices

You can use your browser settings to block or delete cookies and site data. The UK ICO publishes guidance on cookies: ico.org.uk/for-the-public/online/cookies (opens in a new tab). If you delete our consent cookie, the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Book a demo

When you submit the demo request form, we collect the fields you provide (such as company, role, email, phone if given, postcode, and waste volume). We use this to respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, to follow up about our services. Do not submit special-category data unless we ask for it.

Where data is stored

Submissions may be stored in our website hosting database and/or other systems we use for customer relationship management. Data is processed in line with UK GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act 2018 where applicable.

Retention

We keep enquiry data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, then delete or anonymise it according to our retention schedule.

Your rights
